There is no job in the world where there is no Manager. You always have to work under a Manager no matter how small or big the job is. Managers are in fact like a guide who help us settling down in the job for initial days. Most of the times our success or failure in the job depends upon our Managers. You may have a Client Manager or your own Company Manager. If your Manager is good then you have a good mentor who is always there to help you. If your Manager is considerate than half of your daily stress is already gone.

But what if you have got a Manager who is always complaining against you and does not appreciate your work?

They give you a shock during appraisals.

Such managers bring more harm to the company then doing any kind of good. They always find fault in their subordinates and tend to be authoritative and abusive some time. They are difficult to cope with and often show the dominating behaviour once you talk to them. They think that they are the smartest people on the planet and carry an overload of Attitude. I have seen some Managers reprimanding their subordinates publicly which is the worst form of behaviour one should avoide.

To work with such Managers, you need to:

1. First understand what they need from you.

2. Try to finish your work in time and keep them informed.

3. Keep them informed of your weekly work status.

4. Plan to have a one to one meeting and understand what they want from you.

4. In case of any confrontation try to keep your point and do not argue much.

5. You need to see how your career is moving under them. Ponder over yourself and see if you are doing something wrong.

6. If you lack any skill then try to work on improving that skill.

7. See whether their attitude towards you is improving or it remains same.

8. Complaining to HR may not help you.

9. It is very important to discuss this with your family. Your family is always there to help you. Take them into confidence.

10. If your job is giving you mental stress even after reaching home then its time to quit. There is no need to continue your job. It will do more harm to your career and mental health then doing any good.

11 Always believe in yourself. There is always light at the end of tunnel.

12. Start looking for a new job immediately and quit once you get it.

13. Stand in front of a mirror and pat yourself on the back. Feel happy that you took a right decision.

14. This is the time to look forward.

15. We should not waste our time and energy on things which are beyond our control. Your Manager and the Company will be the losers and not you.
